SIX NATIONS 2025 ticks over the halfway mark, with two more rounds of action set to take place during this year’s tournament.

Ireland currently lead the way and are on course for a Grand Slam after picking up the triple crown with wins over England, Scotland and Wales in their opening three.

England won back the Calcutta Cup after a 16-15 victory over Scotland at Twickenham, and sit third behind France, after their huge win over Italy.

The French, like England, have two wins, but have picked up an extra bonus point, after scoring 11 tries vs Italy.

Wales are the only side not to pick up a victory in this year’s tournament, but with a new head coach, look to build on a good performance against Ireland vs Scotland and England.

Why are there no Six Nations games this weekend?

The Six Nations goes into the second rest week of the tournament this weekend, which is why there are no fixtures.

The men’s Six Nations currently operates on a 2-1-2 format, so there will be two weeks of action, which goes like this:

  • Two weeks of matches.
  • One week of rest.
  • One week of matches.
  • One week of rest.
  • Two weeks of matches.

The break had previously allowed sides to change their setups, as Wales have seen a coach change, with Warren Gatland leaving, being replaced by Matt Sherratt.

Breaks are used to give the players a rest, as the Six Nations comes in the middle of the club season.
