WIMBLEDON returns on Monday, July 1, 2025 with hundreds of thousands venturing to South West London to watch the best players battle in the third Grand Slam of the year.
Tennis fans are in for a treat as reigning Champion Carlos Alcaraz returns to Wimbledon off the back of a monumental victory over world No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the French Open final.

The best of the women’s game will also be hoping to produce some dramatic match-ups, as Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka all look to win their first grass Grand Slam title and deny Barbora Krejčíková a chance to defend her title.
British hopefuls Jack Draper and Emma Raducanu will both be hoping to make a splash in front of a home crowd but there will be stiff competition.
All the action from Wimbledon can be watched live every day until Sunday July 13 on the BBC, with coverage starting at 11am on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
Clare Balding will be taking on main hosting duties again for the mid-afternoon and evening matches on BBC One and iPlayer.

Clare Balding

As one of the most recognised television presenters in the UK, Clare Balding will be a familiar face for sports fans as she undertakes the main presenting duties.
Clare has become synonymous with British sport, having reported on numerous Olympic and Paralympic Games, as well as hosting the horse racing and the Oxford and Cambridge Boat Race since starting at the BBC in 1994 as a trainee.
Clare has been the lead Wimbledon presenter since 2023 after taking over the helm from veteran broadcaster and former Grand Slam champion Sue Barker.
Isa Guha

Former England international cricketer Isa Guha is a new addition to the BBC presenting, but is no stranger to the world of large sporting events across her 10-year cricket career.
Since retirement, Isa has presented cricket coverage across multiple channels but stepped into the world of Wimbledon in 2022.
After Clare was moved to the evening show, Isa took over the daily morning coverage, which will start from 10:30am on Day 1 and then 11am on each day after that.
John McEnroe
A stalwart in world tennis, John McEnroe will be returning as a commentator to SW19, providing his witty and insightful thoughts on the matches.
As the holder of seven singles (three at Wimbledon) and eight doubles Grand Slam titles, John is recognised as one of the greatest players of all time.

Martina Navratilova
The winner of 18 Grand Slam titles, Martina Navratilova is nothing short of a legend in women’s tennis.
Martina knows the courts of Wimbledon well, having won half of her titles there between 1979 and 1990.

Billie Jean King
The BBC have continued to stack their coverage with absolute tennis greats, as Billie Jean King returns to punditry duties.

While at 81 years old, Billie Jean may be the oldest on the lineup, but the 39-time Grand Slam winner across both singles and doubles will be sure to provide expert analysis on the tournament’s most titanic of clashes.
Pat Cash
The 1987 Wimbledon Champion, Pat Cash, famous for inciting the tradition of climbing into the crowd to celebrate, will also be a part of the BBC’s punditry team this year.

It’s hard to think about Wimbledon and not bring up Tim Henman, with the famous Henman Hill named in his honour.

Tim is one of the most recognised names in English tennis after reaching four Wimbledon semi-finals in his career, but unfortunately, the former British no. 1 never won a singles Grand Slam title.
Annabel Croft
Annabel Croft retired from professional tennis at the age of 21, but has since cemented her place as a household name in British tennis coverage.
She regularly provides her expertise as a former world No.24 to both the BBC and Amazon Prime Video.

Tracy Austin
Former women’s world No.1 Tracy Austin regularly shares her insight on the events of SW19 with the BBC.
The American achieved 30 titles throughout her career, including two US Open titles, but failed to ever get over the line at Wimbledon, being knocked out in two semi-finals.

Taking the helm of the wheelchair tournament which starts later in the Championship will be Andy Stevenson.
Known as a leading figure in Paralympic sports broadcasting, Andy has been part of the BBC’s Wimbledon coverage since 2010.
