The Welshman had roared back from 2-0 down to level, via breaks of 67 and 103.
But then came an interval, which perhaps robbed him of momentum.
Brecel went back in front with a 94 break, won the sixth frame quite comfortably and landed a 73 table-visit to take the seventh, and the match, 76-15.
