Orlando Pirates will have a new head coach next season. The outgoing Jose Riveiro has expressed confidence in his unnamed successor.
JOSE RIVEIRO ON THE NEXT ORLANDO PIRATES COACH
Chatting to the media this week before his exit in June, the Spaniard told the club’s followers that the Sea Robbers are not a one-man show but a progressive institution.
“This is a club project, not a Riveiro project, I’ve answered this question many, many times,” said Riveiro at a press conference in Durban.
“The club knows what they are doing. Whoever is coming is gonna be the right person and will have the support and will find himself in a good platform to continue where we’re going to stop at the end of the season,” he added as per FARPost.
“Football is a cycle, and Orlando Pirates is a huge institution; nothing is going to change because Riveiro is in or out.
“The Buccaneers don’t need to be concerned about that because the future is brilliant for the club, and it’s gonna be alright.”
