The countdown is ON!

We are just 15 minutes from the first scheduled match of the night, as Luke Littler takes on Stephen Bunting to open the evening.

We say scheduled, as the matches sometimes start a bit later than the schedule.

Action from Birmingham is set to get underway at 7:15pm BST.

Will the action be as sensational as the weather has been in Birmingham today?

Not-so fine Austrian Open for Premier League Darts

The Austrian Darts Open was one that will not be discussed between the eight players ahead of this weeks action in Birmingham.

Luke Litter, Luke Humphries, Rob Cross, Michael van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price all opted to miss the action.

That only left Stephen Bunting, Nathan Aspinall and Chris Dobey making the trip across Europe.

For Bunting and Aspinall, they will wish they didn’t bother as well, as they both had their tournaments ended in the second round, their first matches.

Chris Dobey did go further, but was knocked out in the quarter-finals.

He lost to eventual winner Martin Schindler.

Luke out behind you

Luke Littler stormed to the lead in the Premier League Darts table, but has started to stall since the half-way mark.

The Nuke is yet to make a final after winning a record-equalling fourth night on night eight.

He rematches the World Darts Championship semi-final when he takes on Stephen Bunting in the quarter-final tonight, both men need the points.

Luke Littler’s lead at the top of the table could be gone by the end of the night, with Luke Humphries within touching distance again.

The teenage sensation’s sensational capitulation against Michael van Gerwen will still be fresh in his mind, as well.

From 4-0 up, he ended up losing to MvG, he needs a big performance to remind everyone who he really is.

Price on top four aspirations

Speaking ahead of Night 13 in Birmingham, Gerwyn Price said: “I just want to make the top four.

“It doesn’t matter if I’m first, second, third or fourth, as long as I’m at The O2 in a few weeks. That’s my priority.

“The win in Liverpool eases the pressure on me going into this week, and when there’s no pressure on me, I’ll play some good darts!

“When I’m on my game, I am the best in the world. If I play my A-game, nobody will beat me, and I think they know that.”
