A lovely chip by Viktor Hovland finds the cup from the fringe of the second green! Hovland joins playing partner Rahm on -3. Tommy Fleetwood’s birdie putt comes up short and he taps in for his par, to stay on -2.

Rahm birdied the first but is making hard work of the second, finding the left rough with his drive and then missing the green, also left. Hovland and Fleetwood are in similar positions to one another near the front of the green.

Rahm picks up a shot at the first
Tommy Fleetwood splashes brilliantly out of the bunker on the first for par, matching Viktor Hovland, but it’s Jon Rahm who gets a fast start from this stellar group, picking up a birdie to move to three under.
Ahead at the third, Hatton controls his approach wonderfully and he’ll have a look at birdie from no more than 10 feet. It is a chance to cancel out his unwelcome bogey on two.
