Orlando Pirates are expected to introduce a new central midfielder ahead of the 2025/2026 season in August.

MASINDI NEMTAJELA TO ORLANDO PIRATES

“Kaizer Chiefs have suffered a setback in their transfer plans as they have reportedly lost out to their Soweto rivals, Orlando Pirates, in the pursuit of Marumo Gallants midfielder Masindi Nemtajela,” FARPost reported.

According to the outlet, Orlando Pirates and the 25-year-old have agreed on a five-year deal. “This publication can now confirm that an agreement in principle has been reached between the player and Pirates.

“The Buccaneers have reportedly tabled a five-year deal for Nemtajela, with the player anticipated to sign in the coming days, pending his camp’s review of the offer,” the report added.

Meanwhile, the Sea Robbers will take on SuperSport United on Tuesday at 19:30 at the Peter Mokaba Stadium.
