Marshall vs Green – R4

Green has a point off for holding! Every time Marshall gets close, the American does look to grab on.

Big right hook at the end of the round wobbles Green – that was a big round for Marshall.

Marshall vs Green – R3

Still a slow pace from both as they continue to try and feel each other out and wait for an opening.

Marshall certainly trying to push the pace more than Green but not much quality coming out of either fighter right now.

The Brit probably with the slightly better work.

Marshall vs Green – R2

Scrappy round from both fighters as they keep getting wrapped up in this one.

Very little action to speak of with Marshall content to try and work behind the jab.

Not a lot landing.

At the end of the round the ref then calls timeout to warn Green of her excessive holding and refusing to break.

Marshall vs Green – R1

Marshall comes out looking like Tyson Fury, lots of jerky, twitchy movements from her shoulders.

The Englishwoman is the much bigger woman and is doing some good work on the outside, landing with a nice right that gets the attention of Green.

Not a lot of activity from the American in that first round, though one shot will have made Marshall a little more wary of being quite so aggressive.

Coming up

Of course there are more titles on the line.

Our next fight will see Savannah Marshall face Shadasia Green in a unification fight for the super-middleweight belts.

We haven’t seen Marshall – a native of Hartlepool in the north east of England – in a boxing ring since July 2023.

She has been spending some time launching a mixed martial arts career alongside her boxing.

Marshall is 13-1 – her one defeat coming against the GWOAT, Claressa Shields.

Green is 15-1 and holder of the WBO belt.

This should be yet another cracker, with both women now in the ring and having their names read out.

Scotney’s win in pictures

A dominant performance by Ellie Scotney, who moves on to 11-0.

Lots of options for the new super-bantamweight champion up next.
