Kaizer Chiefs supporters should enjoy this. Nasreddine Nabi’s side beat Mamelodi Sundowns with a partially fit starting 11.
NASREDDINE NABI REVEALS TWO KAIZER CHIEFS INJURIES
Sundowns went ahead on the stroke of halftime courtesy of a stunning freekick by none other than Teboho Mokoena. Wandile Duba found Kaizer Chiefs’ leveller on 57 minutes before Ashley Du Preez delivered the winner in the 89th minute. Speaking to the media after the game, coach Nabi said Edmilson Dove and Thabo Cele played with injuries.
“Dove played here with an injury, Zitha was on the bench with an injury and with that we brought Aden with us, he did a session with us, trained with us, but when they played DDC he travelled with them,” the Kaizer Chiefs coach told iDiski Times.
“Thabo Cele also had an injury, all of them played with injuries, but when you see the performances with our players, you can understand how much they love this team, how much they deserve to be in this team and what they did, they did for the fans. It’s to make them happy, to make them proud of us,” concluded the Kaizer Chiefs trainer.
Meanwhile, the result meant that Amakhosi will face Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday, 10 May, from the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
