Bellotti vs Gomez Jr – R1

Bellotti takes to the outer ring letting off multiple jabs, doubles and triples even to keep Gomez Jr from walking him down, fast reactions from Bellotti, slipping, pivoting and countering as Gomez Jr walks in.

Exciting first round with Gomez pushing the aggression fast and Bellotti flurrying to keep him off.

Bellotti vs Gomez Jr

Up next we have an intriguing fight between Reece Bellotti and Michael Gomez Jr for the British and Commonwealth super-featherweight titles.

This fight had a lot of needle in the build-up, after Gomez Jr pulled out of the fight between this fight when they were first set to meet last year.

During the press conference, Belotti said: “Why didn’t your team see you all day?

“You should sack them. Why wouldn’t your team check on you in the morning if they know you’re not right?

“Your story has holes in it – that’s all I’m saying.

“I’m not denying that you were ill, but you knew you were ill way before [fight night].”

After this one is the main event.

McCormack v Davies Jr – The right call was finally made.

After a very compassionate chat with Davies Jr his corner men have decided to pull him out of the fight stating “he’s (McCormack) just a little too sharp for you”.

Pat McCormack takes a TKO victory over Davies Jr to go 7-0.

It’s all over!

Anthony Crolla calls it in the corner after Robbie Davies Jr fails to offer enough in that sixth round.

It could be the last time we see Davies Jr in a boxing ring – he’s been a very good servant to the British fight game.

As for McCormack, that was a brilliant, ruthless performance.

That was supposed to be a step up but he looked better than he has done as a pro.

We’re expecting some very big things from him over the next couple of years.
