Igor Julio has joined Burnley from Brighton for an undisclosed fee.

Manchester United’s business appears to be done, and they will not be signing Louis Page tonight. There were reports earlier than United were exploring a late move for the 18-year-old Leicester player, but he is set to stay at the League One side this season. In fact, Page is playing right now for Leicester as they face Plymouth.

Sunderland have signed centre-back Kevin Danso on a season-long loan with obligation to buy. Austria international Danso was unlikely to feature for Spurs this season after they signed Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke. Sunderland would have to pay £22m for Danso – if they avoid relegation.

Chelsea have confirmed that midfielder Dario Essugo has completed a season-long loan move to sister club RC Strasbourg. It comes after 21-year-old striker Deivid Washington joined Strasbourg on a permanent deal. Washington made just three appearances for Chelsea.

Forward Dujuan Richards has also joined AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan.

The Nottingham Forest centre-back joins West Ham on a season-long loan and will bid to help the Hammers back to the Premier League. Nuno Espirito Santo signed Morato when at Nottingham Forest in 2023-24.

As the clock ticks towards the transfer deadline, it is becoming clear that Arsenal will not be signing a marquee attacking player this summer. Julian Alvarez is set to be told to knuckle down and focus on playing for Atletico Madrid after Arsenal failed to submit a bid and he was blocked from joining Barcelona.

Instead, Arsenal are left looking… lighter? Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri have left the club and only Christos Tzolis has come in, at least in terms of attacking signings, with a late move for Malick Fofana ruled out. Does that leave Arsenal short on the left side of their attack for the season ahead?

Sky Sports’ Keith Downie reports that Sunderland want to sign not just one Belgium international winger on deadline day, but two! Sunderland have flown a jet to Lisbon as they attempt to sign Dodi Lukebakio from Benfica and they have sent a medical team to France as they attempt to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon. Fofana is also wanted by Crystal Palace and it remains 50-50 as to where he will end up.
