FAKIERA looks a solid choice for Gordon Elliott. He showed some promise in a couple of bumpers and has taken well to hurdling.
He was a close-up fifth on debut at Naas before putting in a similar effort to fill the runner-up sport at Leopardstown. Soft ground has suited so far.
Joseph O’Brien has quickly established himself as one of the top trainers in Ireland and his Arthurian Flame is better than his poor effort at Clonmel latest. He ran well in a big field at Leopardstown before that and returns to his ideal trip.
Ruinous took a step forward from his debut when going close at Clonmel earlier this month. There should be more to come on just his third run.
Ran Rite showed some promise when fourth on debut here 16 days ago. There was no money in the market but he kept on well and looks capable of building on that.
Blanketontheground has had plenty of chances now but her past three outings have hinted at ability. She was a solid fourth over further at Navan latest and will be doing her best work at the finish.
JETZ keeps pretty high company over fences and was a decent hurdler earlier in his career, with placed efforts at Graded level.
He came back to timber with a good second at Leopardstown earlier this month and should be happier upped to this distance for Jessica Harrington and Robbie Power.
Mary Frances can be hit and miss but she got her act together in good style when winning well at Punchestown last month. Her jumping was much better there and she has plenty of stamina, which will be an asset here.
Watch the betting for clues about Karl Der Grosse. He has been off for 408 days after going wrong on his last run here. He looked promising before that with a Tramore win and Willie Mullins will have him plenty fit enough.
Moyhenna has lost her way a little over fences and made it three poor runs in a row when pulled up at Gowran in the prestigious Thyestes. Her sights are lowered here going back over timber and first-time cheekpieces could help too.
Cartwright has been in shocking form but comes from Gordon Elliott so a market move would be telling.
Ferocious won on his hurdles debut before struggling in a Grade 3 here last month and should find this easier.
DUHALLOW PADDY has dropped to the mark that saw him win over fences at Galway three starts ago. He then went close in a Tramore hurdle before a modest chase outing at Navan. He sees out this trip well and should hit the frame at decent odds.
Sporty Yankee could be overpriced for Gordon Elliott and Davy Russell. He isn’t the most consistent but went close on his last Irish run when second at Fairyhouse in December. He’s just 4lb higher than that today.
Johnny Little Legs put a run of poor efforts behind him when going down in a photo over 2m2f here 16 days ago. If he sees out this longer trip, he could be a major danger.
Goulane Jessie was beaten less than a length at Fairyhouse latest and is effectively off the same mark thanks to her rider’s claim. That puts her in the mix.
Memory Of Youth has been knocking on the door in slightly easier races and was a solid third at Clonmel off this mark last time. She likes it soft and stays so has each-way claims again.
Need For Gold clocked a personal best when fourth at Navan and has been dropped 1lb which gives him a squeak.
SIZING POTTSIE is fresh from a convincing win in this Grade 3 level at Navan where he sauntered away from his rivals in the closing stages. He saw out the two miles really well so there’s little chance of this slightly longer trip being an issue.
Zero Ten was tanking along like a 1-3 shot should at Punchestown before taking a tumble four fences from home. He won at the Galway Festival on his chasing debut before a solid Naas second so could bounce back from his mishap.
Cut The Mustard was no match for Sizing Pottsie last time but won two from three before that and could get on the podium again for Willie Mullins. He is proven over this trip.
Capuccimix had 11 lengths in hand when winning a moderate race at Naas last time and deserves this crack at tougher company. He stays well and is open to plenty of improvement.
Ministerforsport was chinned on the line in a Naas Grade 3 last time when 2m4f was maybe just a bit far so this trip will be ideal.
Dallas Des Pictons was a close fourth that day after making a costly late error and could easily turn the form around.
BRIDGE NATIVE comes here in good form and has every chance of hitting the frame again after a good second at Leopardstown last time out. The handicapper has left her mark alone and she won over hurdles here so doesn’t mind the track.
