Tailevu Naitasiri football maintains the lead in the Digicel Senior League Viti Levu zone after the top-the-table clash against Nasinu ended in a 1-1 draw at Fiji FA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa on Sunday.
Tailevu Naitasiri assistant coach Priyant Manu said he was impressed with the boy’s performance.
“Actually we came here to win today (Sunday) but a draw is in favor of us. Hats off to our players for following the game plan and keeping the unbeaten record, “said Manu
Manu said they were not putting their guard down for the remaining two matches.
“Well it’s not over yet but our goal remains to be promoted to the top-level next season and to achieve that we need to win both of our remaining games,”
“There are some areas to rectify and we will go back to the drawing board and set up a plan to continue our unbeaten run intact,” said Manu
“We playing Lami in our next game and we are not underestimating them as they are an improved side and for sure they will come out firing against after their first win today against Rakiraki but we will do our homework and come prepared against them this weekend.
Nasinu coach Mira Sahib said they played well.
“Well the boys did their best but unlucky the match ended in a draw and now our chance looks slim in getting back to the premier division, “said Sahib
“We had a good game but finishing is a problem but I am happy that we kept our unbeaten run. Tailevu Naitasiri was a good side and they came out to win the match so a point is good for us,”
“We hope Tailevu Naitasiri drops some points and then there will be our chance to move up. “said
