The Suva football team escaped with a narrow 1-0 win against a tough Nadi side in the Vodafone Premier League at Prince Charles Park yesterday.
The lone goal from striker Christopher Wasasala gave the Capital side victory with three minutes remaining in the game.
Suva FA President Ritesh Pratap says the team were under pressure from the Green Machine but luck was on their side.
“As everybody has seen Nadi was all over Suva even us officials we were under pressure we didn’t know what was happening. Lucky we came victorious at the end of the day.”
This win has pushed Suva to second place on the points standing with 12 points behind leaders Rewa who has 16 points.
