The Rewa Football Club has a lot of soul searching this week before they take on the Unique Rubber Stamp Suva FC in the Digicel Premier League this Sunday.
This was according to the Head Coach, Rodicks Singh.
“I’m pretty disappointed with the way things went out today (last Sunday),” Singh said.
“For us, a draw is a loss because you look at the way we played. Definitely not one of our best days with the number of players and talent that is around.
“Not the way we wanted unfortunately we have to settle with what we got.”
Singh said his boys dropped the pace and gave away chances.
“We were very slow in attacking, we dropped our pace to Nadi, we took the lead but then gave Nadi a lot of opportunities to shoot and cross and that cost us an equalizer.
“There are seven Fiji reps and Nadi has none, you expect Rewa to win but there is a lot of soul-searching, a lot of players to reflect on, but then there’s another fact that we are coming back after six months of no football.”
He said they really need to step up when they play Suva at the ANZ Stadium.
“Suva is going to come out firing. They are a quality side.
“If we continue with what we did today (against Nadi), we will just be left to scratch our heads come next week.”
