The door is open for the potential players to join the Digicel national women team in camp for the 2022 OFC Nations Cup to be staged in Qatar.
Coach and Fiji FA Technical Director Timo Jankowski says he will be eying players during the Digicel Women’s Super League.
“I’ll be watching the women’s competition and will lookout for new talent,” said German national
He said the Super League would also give an opportunity to assess the current national players.
“We will continue to monitor our national players and assess them,”
The German national said he was happy with the progress shown by the players during the two weeks camp.
“I am really pleased with the progress as the girls were quick in learning and adopting a new methods of training,”
“It’s really the aim for the next camp we have to see all the talented players in Fiji so that we can build the best possible squad by January. We really want to work into detail after that because it’s now 36 weeks left until the qualifier starts, “said Yankowski
Last week the team was assisted by Digicel national men’s football team coach before going in for a week’s break. The team will march into camp on November 18.
