Arsenal have sent scouts to the Serie A in order to find out more about Roma player Bryan Cristante.
Mikel Arteta’s first summer in charge of the club is set to be an expensive one, with a multitude of players being linked with moves in and out of The Emirates.
According to Calciomercato, Cristante is a player that Arsenal scouts are going to look at when Roma face Lecce on Sunday.
The Italian-Canadian midfielder joined Roma from Atalanta for £18.9million after a year on loan at at the club.
He has been targeted by Arsenal as a potential replacement for Dani Ceballos, who will return to Real Madrid when his loan spell ends at the end of this season.
Although Cristante only has one goal and two assists in the Serie A this season, the 24-year-old has been praised for his work-rate.
Arsenal believe that his physicality would make him a good fit for the Premier League.
