The Rewa Football Club players and officials visited Mount Korobaba last weekend as part of their team bonding ahead of the clash against Nadroga this weekend.
Coach Rodick Singh said it was a good way to enjoy the break.
“We thought of giving our players some outings as they have been playing football for past few weeks, “said Singh
Singh thanked Rewa FC executives for the initiative in getting everyone together.
“I would like to thank Rewa FC president Nazeel Buksh and his executives for the well-planned outing for the boys which they all enjoyed, “said Singh
The Delta Tigers will face Nadoga this weekend and Singh has set the bar high for players ahead of the clash.
“Nadroga has been a very consistent team so far since Kamal Swamy took over as coach and I am sure he will set up a plan to counter us,” Singh
‘We have been working on our key areas and I expect the players to be on their level best on and off the field as a mistake and indiscipline can cost them the three points.
“It’s going to be a tough battle, we know Nadroga has picked up in performance. They are one of the good sides and playing them at home will be tough. We know what is at stake and we will go preparedly.”
The two sides last met in round five where Rewa came out victorious but, Singh knows it will be a different ball game this time around.
The former Rewa and Tailevu Naitasrir rep has been off the bench after coping a red card and will again miss this clash as he is still suspended.
He is expected to return to the sideline in round 13.
