The Rewa FC will need to beat Nadi FC to finish second in the Digicel Premier League and will hope Labasa and Ba draw in one of their matches.
The Delta Tigers have moved to the second spot with 22 points but Labasa and Ba have two matches in hand.
The side defeated Ba 1-0 in round 13 of the competition on Sunday at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Super-sub Striker Epeli Valevou scored the winner in the 60th minute of play after connecting with a through pass from Anish Khem and taking a powerful low shot which was spilled by goalie Tevita Koroi.
Rewa coach Rodick Singh praised his players for the gallant performance.
“I am really happy with the performance of all my players and my 100 percent heart goes to them, “said Singh
Singh said they knew the capabilities of the Men-in-Black.
‘On paper, we are the best team in the country and I told the boys look at yourself you are all are in the best team and you need to play like the best team, you need to win games and results will matter and this what the boys did today (Sunday) and showed the result and showed they are the best team in the country,” said Singh
The former Rewa and Tailevu Naitasiri said their final match against Nadi would be very important.
“The win against Ba has set us in a good place and we will look to finish strong against Nadi which will not be an easy task,” said Singh
