Wesley Ward has a few big chances in the coming days. The ground is a concern for most of his runners, but he still reckons Golden Pal in the Norfolk Stakes (2.25pm) is his best chance.

He said: “Kieren Fallon has been riding my horses in Newmarket and he has been on Golden Pal every day since he arrived in the UK.

“He has as much confidence in this horse as I do. He seems to think the horse will handle the ground, but until you see it, its a little bit of an unknown.

“But he is an extremely talented colt and probably my best chance of the week.

“The only one that we are real confident will handle the ground is Kimari, she is proven on all surfaces and she has a good chance.”
