The Navua football side is not letting any stones unturned to beat Moshin’s Insulation Nadroga FC in round seven of the Digicel Premier League 2021 which resumes this weekend.
The Amit Prakash-coached side will host the Stallions this Sunday at Uprising Sports Center in Pacific Harbour.
Speaking to Fiji FA Media, Prakash said they have geared up their preparation for the match.
“It is a very important match for both teams and we know Nadroga will come out for a win so we are preparing well to counter them,” said Prakash.
The Navua school teacher said fitness was a major factor in the side.
“As you know the players have been without football for the past six months and they did individual training but they still need to get their fitness up to play 90 minutes football.
“We played two friendly matches against Suva which has helped us to iron out our weaknesses and for sure we will get back to the game on Sunday.”
Prakash said the players are looking forward to the exciting clash.
“Well, the players know they have a tough task ahead of them and they are very serious to get back to the momentum we left in March.
“The players are getting into good shape and giving their hundred percent in training.”
He urged Navua fans to come out in numbers and support the boys.
“We will love to see our fans coming in numbers cheering the team from the side as that will boost the performance of players.”
The match will kick off at 4.30 pm.
In other matches on Sunday, the Unique Rubber Stamp Suva FC will host Online I.T Solutions Ba FC at ANZ Stadium while Rewa FC will travel to Prince Charles Park to face Nadi FC. Both matches will kick off at 3pm.
