Navua coach confident | FijiFootball.com.fj

The Koromakawa Rentals & Tour Navua FC coach Saiyad Ali was impressed with the performance of his team despite a 2-4 loss against Nadi in round one of the Digicel Fiji FACT last Sunday at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

“The best thing is when you come back in-game and the boys did their best but Nadi is an experienced team compared to us so they won,”

“The boys did a better performance in the second half scoring two goals against Nadi which is something positive for us,”

“We have a very young team and I am confident we will come back in our remaining matches,” said Ali

“Just imagine we were down 3-0 and we came back in the goal but unfortunately we lost but that is a good lesson for us,”

“More hard work is needed now as we have tough matches ahead,”

“We are not putting our heads down but we will regroup and come back more prepared in our remaining games,”

Navua faces Rewa in round two of the tournament on Thursday at 1 pm when the tournament proper kicks off at the Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

They go on bye on Friday before playing Labasa on Saturday at 2 pm and their final Group A match is against Lautoka on Sunday at 4 pm.
