Nadroga out to create upsets

The Nadroga Football side will be out to upset a few giants at the 2022Punjas Battle of the Giants Tournament in Lautoka.

They are no strangers to challenges, and their pool sees them up against the likes of Nadi, Suva and Labasa.

Always admired for their passion and tenacity, Nadroga won the hearts of many fans during the 2022 Digicel Fiji FACT.

It has been 22 years, Nadroga last won the BOG silverware in 2002 when they edged Labasa 2-1 at Subrail Park.

Coached by Joseph Nitya Nand, they will be out to prove they are no pushovers after a series of courageous performances in recent DPL matches.

Nadroga’s ‘guts and determination’ approach is always on show. They will be out to create some upsets in the group stage.

They do have some experienced players like goalkeeper Sakeo Tageneca, Tomasi Tuicakau, Mitilei Naivaro, Taniela Raubulu, Setereki Vola, Ato Yankson, Kalaveti Savoi, and Paula Buke to name a few.

They face Nadi on Friday, August 26 at 2 pm and face Labasa on Day two at 11 am and their last pool match will be against Suva on Sunday at 11 am.
