The All in One Builders Nadi FC has climbed on the Digicel Premier League point’s table ladder after defeating NZOTC Nasinu 4-2 in the third round of the fixture at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Sunday.
They also ended Nasinu’s two-match unbeaten streak.
It was not an easy battle for the Kamal Swamy coached side as the young Nasinu side gave a tough fight in the match.
A foul by Nasinu goalkeeper on a Nadi player in the sixth minute saw referee Ashwin Singh award a penalty to Nadi which was beautifully booted in by Rahul Krishna for a 1-nil lead.
The penalty woke the giant killers up and a beautiful pass from Jonetani Buksh saw Clarence Hussein score through a header for an equaliser in the 14th minute of play.
The Mira Sahib coached side took the lead in the 23rd minute after a brilliant set up pass from Jasnit Vikash saw Taniela Rakariva dive for a header to finish that off but Nadi returned the favor through young Eshan Kumar who defeated three Nadi defenders and took a powerful shot and netted for a 2-all equaliser before the break.
The Jet Setters came outrageous in the second spell and scored their third goal through Sakaraia Naisua after a ball rebound.
The heavy rain did not stop Nadi from putting up their hard work as they continued to fight and Rahul Krishna’s long footy saw Christopher Kumar thump it into the net and seal the win.
NZOTC Nasinu will play Rewa on Sunday while Nadi goes on bye.
