The Nadi Football Club is now shifting focus to its next Digicel Premier League encounter against Moshin’s Insulation Nadroga FC this Sunday.
Head Coach, Shalen Lal, said he was satisfied with the draw against Rewa FC and shifts focus onto their next match after a recovery run yesterday.
“Nadroga is a very good side and they resumed their campaign with a good win against Navua.
“We had our recovery session and will now plan accordingly,” he said.
Lal said he tested his new young players in the first half against Rewa and they responded well.
“We tested ourselves in the first half. That early goal could have cost us, but then getting the equalizer quickly and the boys regained themselves.
“I am satisfied with the draw. Actually, we wanted to win and I know of course Rewa also wanted to win, but then satisfied with one point.
“These boys played after over five months.”
Nadi missed a few of their experienced players and Lal said this gave the young ones a chance to step up.
“The absence of experienced players gave a chance to the young players to play.
“This is a development for Nadi for their future.”
