The Ba football side has moved up to the third position on the Digicel Premier League points table ladder after a 2-1 win against All in One Builders Nadi side on Sunday.
The Men-in-Black staged a second-half comeback to stun Nadi 2-1 at Prince Charles Park.
Nadi started strongly as they controlled possession during the opening few minutes of the match.
Wave of attacks from the Green Machine saw Ba scrambling in defence.
The hosts finally broke through just before halftime as William Valentine found the back of the net.
In the second spell, the Men in Black was a totally different team, as they had more possession putting pressure on the Nadi team.
Ba Coach Daniel Krishneel says they re-grouped and came out a much-improved team in the second-half.
“At the end of the day it is the game of football, the team that makes more mistakes will be the losers in the end. We made the mistake in the beginning and they got a goal. Then we re-grouped in the secondhalf and we talked and we took a positive approach. Ba is known to play till the 90th minute and the boys showed that today.”
A perfect pass from replacement player Malakai Tiwa found Saula Waqa free on the left-hand side who fired the ball in to find the bottom right-hand corner.
The visitors were not done, as they relentlessly pressed the Nadi side who finally broke a few minutes from full-time.
Nadi coach Kamal Swamy says it’s was a disappointing game for him.
It comes back to what we have planned and what we tell the players. It is bound to happen, we’ve been telling them not to give fouls they still gave fouls.”
Manasa Nawakula was the hero as he slotted in the ball to break the hearts of the Nadi side and their fans.
Ba has nine points while Nadi remains on sixth spot with six points.
