Man Utd outcast Donny van de Beek ‘turned down Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola’ before switching representatives

MANCHESTER UNITED outcast Donny van de Beek reportedly turned down Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola before switching representatives.

Van De Beek, 24, has started just four Premier League games since he arrived in a £39million switch from Ajax in the summer of 2020 and only one as sub this season.

The Holland international has been left angry as a result and has sought assurances over his Old Trafford future.

Earlier this month it emerged Van de Beek switched agents in the hope of leaving United in January.

The midfielder appointed Ali Dursun as his new agent, replacing Guido Albers.

Dursun looks after Van de Beek’s team-mate Victor Lindelof, as well as Barcelona stars Frenkie De Jong and Martin Braithwaite.

But he could have joined forces with Dutch-Italian super-agent Raiola, according to journalist Mike Verweij.

Raiola is said to have approached Van de Beek about representing him but he was knocked back.

The controversial agent also acts on behalf of Erling Haaland and Gianluigi Donnarumma as well as many other huge football stars.

Van de Beek, has understandably lost his place in the Dutch national team as a result of his outcast status at United.

Injury kept him out the Euros and he spent the summer working hard bulking up for the rigours of Premier League football.

Van de Beek’s frustration overcame him when he was left on the bench during United’s last gasp Champions League win over Villarreal.

He threw his chewing gum down in the dug-out after Nemanja Matic and then Fred were favoured to come on ahead of him as United chased a winner.

While Solskjaer can’t play everyone there is some sympathy within the squad for the Dutchman.
