MANCHESTER UNITED co-owner Joel Glazer has promised to build on the summer transfer window by continuing to spend big.
The American, 54, revealed his satisfaction at the transfer work conducted by the club but admitted there is still room for improvement.
United finally secured long-term target Jadon Sancho in July before adding Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo to the squad.
During the meeting he said: “We’re very happy with the summer.
“We can always improve. There’s always more work to be done.
“The most important thing is always on-the-pitch success.”
While United strengthened key areas in defence and attack, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to land the defensive midfielder he was looking for.

Declan Rice is also high on the transfer shortlist but United are deterred by his £100million asking price at present.
That could be because the Glazers spent £130m on Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo alone – so a move for a midfielder could take place next summer.
Leicester star Youri Tielemans is also said to have caught the eye, while Milan’s Franck Kessie could be signed on a free next year if Paul Pogba runs down his contract.
