Fiji FA, in association with FIFA League Development programme, conducted its first two sessions of the workshop for 25 Women Coaches from the Digicel Women Super League and Digicel Women Senior League teams tonight. The workshop was officially opened by the Fiji FA President, Mr. Rajesh Patel.
Participants were then introduced and explained on the Fiji FA Women Football Strategic Plan 2021-2023 by the Executive Board Member, Mrs. Naziah Ali Krishna, and how these workshops are tied to the Strategic Plan itself; GOAL #7 to have regular Women Seminars and workshop. FIFA’s Technical Consultant for the Oceania Region, Mr. Tony Readings, then conducted his session on Short-sided game / RONDO as a technical development tool.
Workshop Coordinator and the Digicel National Women’s Head Coach, Marika Rodu, said “I think the topic shared today by Tony has relevance to the coaches line of work. A methodology of training that can empower players very quickly in terms of the development of their technical skills.”
