The Ram’s Cleaning Services Suva football side registered its second loss in the Digicel Premier League.
The side’s unbeaten record was broken by Ba 3-0 in round 11 and they went down 0-1 against Nadi in round 16 on Sunday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Former Lautoka, Rewa, and Labasa striker Siotame Kubu was the hero for the Villiame Toma coach side after netting the lone goal in the 52nd minute.
Kubu netted the winner after receiving a through pass from midfielder William Valentine and beating the Suva defense with a powerful shot that hit the post and landed in goal, stunning Suva goalkeeper and Captain Akuila Mateisuva.
Suva coach Babs Khan said that was not the result he expected.
“One of the things is that if you can’t take your opportunity and you can’t win and Nadi took their opportunity and they scored,” said Khan
“We had so opportunities in the first half but we missed it so this is the outcome of the game now,”
“We really need to work harder in our finishing which a major concern for me is now as we are not scoring goals after playing in the last four matches we only scored two goals which are a really sad part and we really need to pull our socks,”
Nadi coach Villiame Toma said they executed their game plan well.
“We prepared well for Suva as we knew they are a very good and experienced side but the boys did their best which I am sure is a boost for the side,”
The result pushes All in One Builders/KKs Hardware Nadi to fourth place with 26 points while Rams Cleaning Services Suva remains in the third spot with 26 points with a match in hand and a better goal difference.
