Fury must beat Wilder – says Hearn, Whyte vs Povetkin close, Joshua set for Emirates fight – The Sun

ONE OF THE GREATS

Frank Warren reckons Tyson Fury’s re-match with Deontay Wilder reminds him of the all-time great re-matches in heavyweight history.

Writing in his talkSPORT column, Warren said: “This rematch sits right up there with the best heavyweight fights in history.

“In any era, Tyson Fury would be up there with the best and Wilder is a top puncher in any era. So this is up there with all of them.

“The difference between this one and certain other notable fights is that it’s like going back to the “Muhammad Ali/Joe Frazier/George Foreman clashes – because both men are at the top of their game.

“It’s not the old guy fighting the young guy, it’s not like Mike Tyson vs Larry Holmes, Muhammad Ali vs “Trevor Berbick. It’s not one of them. They’re both undefeated and in their primes.

“I think George Foreman vs Muhammad Ali is a fitting comparison.

“Ali was a switch-hitter, mover, all like Tyson. Foreman was a massive, concussive puncher, blasting all his opponents out.”
