Four players yet to be cleared

The fate of four players bound to Suva FC in the pre-season transfer window will be known today.

Lautoka duo Malakai Rakula and Dave Radrigai along with Ba pair Samuela Drudru and Samuela Navoce have still not been cleared to play for the capital city side.

Fiji Football Association Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf confirms nothing was settled after the hearing yesterday.

Yusuf says Suva has requested for more time to submit other documents.

Suva applied for the four players’ transfers last month.

Meanwhile, the stage is all set for the opening of the 2022 Digicel Premier League this Sunday.

A triple-header will be played at the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

At 12 midday Nasinu will open its campaign against Labasa while Rewa will take on Ba at 2 pm followed by an official opening at 4 pm. Suva will battle Lautoka at 4.30pm.

Nadi will face an unpredictable Tailevu Naitasiri side at Prince Charles Park at 3 pm while Navua will host Nadroga at the Uprising Sports Complex in Pacific Harbour at 3 pm.

Ticket prices: $10 flat for ANZ Stadium and $5 flat at all other venues.
