A former Champions League winner who found success at both Arsenal and Liverpool has been linked with a potential return to English football.
The player won the UEFA Champions League with the Reds in 2019 and made 35 appearances for England between 2012 and 2019.
He also won three FA Cups while with the Gunners, with those trophies coming in 2014, 2015 and 2017 before a switch to Merseyside.
Now, the player in question has been linked with a move to Championship outfit Sheffield United, who are currently sitting second in the table and pushing for automatic promotion to the Premier League.
Having left Liverpool for Besiktas in 2023, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be set to make a return to England after being deemed surplus to requirements in Turkey.
Oxlade-Chamberlain spent six years at Arsenal from 2011 to 2017 after being signed by the Gunners when he was just 17-years-old.

He would then spend the same amount of time at Liverpool, where he tasted Champions League glory despite being making limited appearances to injury.
According to reports from Turkish media outlet Fanatik, Besiktas have opened talks with Oxlade Chamberlain’s agent over a possible switch as the Super Lig side look to add centre-forwards and wingers to their squad.
Besiktas are also open to selling defensive midfielder Jean Onana, with Ligue 1 side Nantes said to be interested in the Cameroon international.
However, according to Sheffield-based publication The Star, concrete talks over a deal being struck for the man affectionately known as ‘The Ox’ are yet to take place.
The Blades are reportedly keen to bolster their squad depth as they look to make an immediate return to the top flight.
