The Fiji Football Association pre-season transfer window for 2025 opens today, January 6, and will remain open until January 31.

This window provides clubs and districts the opportunity to apply for player transfers or International Transfer Certificates (ITC) for 11-a-side players (both men and women) as well as futsal players.

Fiji FA Player Registration and Transfer Manager Rohitesh Narayan highlighted the importance of adhering to established procedures during this period.

“This period allows districts to apply for the transfer of targeted 11-a-side players, both men and women and futsal players,” said Narayan.

“All transfers and player registrations must comply with the rules and regulations outlined in the Fiji FA National Regulations.”

Narayan emphasized that member associations must verify the eligibility of players being transferred, considering any restrictions, contractual obligations, or other requirements outlined by the Fiji FA.

“Member associations are reminded to verify the eligibility of players being transferred, considering any restrictions, contractual obligations, or registration requirements set by the Fiji FA,” he said.

“Be reminded as per our transfer regulations clause 10.4(d), a player can only be transferred once in a season (district/regional),” said Narayan. “Players who have already taken a transfer in the June transfer window are not eligible to seek transfer this window.”

“Fiji FA will only process the transfers upon receipt of appropriate documentation,” Narayan explained. “This includes an original district transfer certificate duly approved and signed by the district President or Secretary, accompanied by a duly completed Fiji FA Player Registration Form signed by the player and the district.”

“All applications for transfers MUST be submitted with an application fee of $50.00, without which the applications will not be considered,” he added.

“Players with contracts must seek district approval before application,” Narayan said. “Applications will not be considered if the documentation pertaining to the application is not received within seven days of the application.”

“Violation of transfer legislation will result in the player/club appearing before the Player Status Committee,” Narayan warned.

“During this transfer period, Fiji FA will not receive any contract breach letter from any player.”

Narayan stressed the importance of transparency and adherence to the rules during the transfer process.

“Be reminded that Fiji FA will only process transfers upon receipt of appropriate documentation and fees. Applications will not be considered if the required paperwork is not received on time,” he said.
