Fiji Football may be looking at pay cuts and lay-offs for their staff in the coming months.
This was confirmed by Fiji FA chief executive Mohammed Yusuf who made these comments in light of the global pandemic affecting the nation.
Yusuf says the national football body is heavily reliant on FIFA and OFC for funds.
“it’s a very hard time and there’s likely some workers will have to be laid off, the others who are employed will have a drastic pay cut so that we sustain within our means”
The Fiji FA looks after two academies in the country with its staff.
Meanwhile, all sporting activities in the country are called off due to the coronavirus pandemic.
