Last season Antony scored 12 goals in 33 games for Ajax across all competitions.

United are confident of signing defender Tyrell Malacia for £12.9million from Feyenoord following positive talks.

In order to finalise the deal United need to agree personal terms with the left-back, which is expected to be straightforward.

Frenkie de Jong remains a key target for ten Hag, but Barcelona president Joan Laporta suggested that the midfielder could end up staying at the Nou Camp if he is willing to take a pay cut.

Laporta has been keen to ease Barca’s financial crisis by selling De Jong to Manchester United for £70million but realises the star is unwilling to be pushed out against his will. So Laporta has suggested he could stay, provided he accepts a cut in his wages.

United are also looking to sign another player who ten Hag worked with at Ajax, defender Lisandro Martinez.

Arsenal are also interested in Martinez, who is valued at £43million, but United are currently more likely to sign him.
