An exciting round of Digicel Premier League will be played this weekend in round 12 of the competition.

On Friday, Labasa will host Suva at Subrail Park in Labasa at 7pm while a triple header is set to be staged at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

At 12 midday Ba will play Navua followed by Nadi vs Nasinu clash at 2pm while Lautoka and Nadroga will take the field at 4pm.

At Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 3pm Tailevu Naitasiri will host neighbors Rewa.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal says the competition is getting interesting and exciting as we enter round 12 this weekend.

“It’s going to be an exciting round this weekend as we have seen the results last weekend. The race is still on for the title as we have seen Ba has put a full stop on Suva’s unbeaten record and are in contention now for the title,”

“We cannot say now, who will win the title this year but we can expect some electrifying matches in the competition,” said Pal

Meanwhile, Suva maintains the lead in the DPL point’s table ladder with 24 points despite going down 0-3 against Ba on Sunday.

Rewa after a nil-all draw against Labasa sits on the second spot with 23 points while Ba has narrowed the gap with 22 points and sits on third place.

Lautoka with a one-all draw against Navua on Sunday sits on the fourth position with 18 points while Nadi also with a one-all draw against Nadroga is on fifth place with 17 points.

Labasa has moved to sixth place with 12 points while Nadroga is on the seventh position with 11 points.

Navua is on the eighth position with nine points while the Tailevu Naitasiri and Navua both share eight points after their match last weekend ended in a nil-all draw.

Tailevu Naitsiri is on the ninth position with a better goal difference which puts Nasinu at the bottom of the points table.
