Liverpool didn’t have a shot on target until Takumi Minamino gave them the lead on the hour mark.
Preston had the better of the chances in the first half at Deepdale but they couldn’t put Jurgen Klopp’s men to the sword.
And Minamino made them pay with the opening goal before Origi’s sublime improvisation doubled the advantage.
