Cristiano Ronaldo ‘will NOT travel with Manchester United on their pre-season tour’ after being given permission to have more personal leave for family reasons… with club insisting he is not for sale despite Chelsea and Napoli interest
Cristiano Ronaldo will not travel with Manchester United on their pre-season tour on Friday having been granted additional time off to deal with a family issue.
The 37-year-old did not join Erik ten Hag‘s side when international players returned for pre-season training on Monday.
Ronaldo has yet to return to United due to family reasons and the club have confirmed he has been given extra time off to deal with the issue.

United’s return to pre-season training came just days after Ronaldo rocked United chiefs after informing them of his desire to leave Old Trafford this summer.
The 37-year-old has become frustrated with the direction the club is heading in and approaching the final years of his professional career is desperate to still play in the Champions League while he still can.
United will tour Thailand and Australia before returning to England for the start of the Premier League season in August and it had always looked unlikely Ronaldo would join his team-mates for the tour once it was learned he wished to leave the club.
