The highly anticipated 2025 Fiji Football season is set to begin next month with the Pillay Garments Champion vs Champion (CVC) series, featuring two of the nation’s top football teams.

Last year’s Digicel Fiji Premier League champions, Rewa FC, will face off against the FMF IDC champions, Labasa FC, in a thrilling two-legged showdown.

As the first official competition of the new season, the CVC series offers fans a preview of the action-packed football year ahead. Both teams will look to assert their dominance early, with the coveted title of “Champion of Champions” on the line.

The opening leg of the series will take place on February 1 at Subrail Park in Labasa at 1.30pm, with the second leg scheduled for February 9 at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 3pm.

With the Fiji FA pre-season transfer window currently open until January 31, fans could witness new signings donning their team’s colors in the much-anticipated clash.

The Champion vs Champion series is only the beginning of an exciting year for Fijian football. The National Football League is set to kick off on February 15, providing teams with an early opportunity to stake their claim for league glory.

The first major tournament of the year, the Fiji FACT, is slated for May at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.

Fans can also look forward to the Rooster Chicken/Scoops Ice Cream Battle of the Giants in August at Subrail Park in Labasa, followed by the prestigious FMF Inter-District Championship (IDC) in October, with the venue yet to be announced.
