It is back to the drawing board for the Ba football side as they prepare for the next round of the Digicel Premier League this weekend.
The Men-in-Black started its DPL campaign with a 0-1 loss over Ba last Sunday and hopes to regroup this weekend.
Coach Daniel Krishneel said despite the loss he was impressed with the performance of his players.
“I am really happy the way boys played against an experienced side but I guess the luck was not our side,”
Krishneel said they had some hiccups in their preparation but was proud the boys showed true spirit for the black jersey.
“Our preparation time was hindered due to our mother nature and which resulted in some negative impact on our match fitness,”
“Hats off to my players they played their heart out despite the recent flooding in Ba,”
“We have a very young squad and I am sure who all watched the match must have seen the quality of football displayed by our youngsters.”
The former Ba midfielder said the first match is always a learning ground.
“We have seen our weaknesses and will work on it this week and will surely work out a plan against Suva this weekend,”
“We are down but not out yet, “said Ba Sangam school teacher
“We have another tough match this weekend playing the Suva side which is a very strong team with more experienced players and they are on the upper hand with a win but we will do our best to compete with them, “said Krishneel.
The Men-in-Black vs the Capital City side will be played in a triple header at Churchill Park in Lautoka at 4 pm.
