Ba football banks on younger players

Young players in the Ba football team will be the ones to look out for in the women’s Inter-District Championship this season.

Speaking to FBC Sports, Ba center back Harriet Railala says fans can expect major surprises from the young side.

Training together since last month, Railala says the younger players have really stepped up.

“The younger players are building up really well and they’re the ones to watch for in the Inter-District this year.”

Railala adds although they’re placed in a tough pool, Ba is ready for the challenge.

Ba is in Pool B with defending champions Labasa, Tailevu/Naitasiri and Navua.

The women’s Inter-District will be played at Lawaqa Park in Nadroga next week.

Meanwhile, the Vodafone Premier League this week will see Rewa taking on CvC Champions Labasa at Subrail Park on Saturday at 1.30pm.

Nasinu will play Nadi at 3pm on Sunday at Prince Charles Park and you can catch the live commentary of this match on Radio Fiji Two.
