Ba Football Club has announced Ronil Kumar as the head coach for the 2025 season. Kumar, who recently completed the OFC B-License Coaching Course, is no stranger to football fans, having made a lasting impact both as a player and a coach.

Kumar’s connection with Ba FC runs deep. He played for the club from 2002 to 2018, earning numerous accolades and representing the Fiji national team with distinction. His dedication and skill on the field earned him a place in the hearts of Ba FC fans and cemented his reputation as one of Fiji’s top football talents.

After retiring from professional football, Kumar seamlessly transitioned into coaching, where he quickly made his mark. He led Ba FC to multiple prestigious titles, including the Champion vs Champion in 2018, the Battle of the Giants in 2018, and the National League title in 2019. Under his guidance, the team also claimed the Pacific Community Cup in 2022, further showcasing his coaching capabilities.

Speaking to Fiji FA Media, Kumar expressed his excitement about returning to the club:

“I’m honored to take on this role with Ba FC again. The club has always been a big part of my life, and I’m looking forward to working with the players to build on the successes we’ve achieved over the years. My goal is to continue to bring out the best in the team and push us to new heights in 2025.”

He also expressed gratitude toward the Ba Football executives:

“I would like to thank the executives for having faith in my coaching ability. I’m excited for what lies ahead.”

Kumar confirmed that training for the 2025 season will begin today, as he aims to prepare the team for the challenges ahead.
