The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) B-licence coaching course Part Two is currently taking place at the Fiji Football Association Academy in Ba. The course, which began on Sunday, January 5, will run until Thursday, January 9, with eleven coaches in attendance.

Fiji FA Coach Educator Yogendra Dutt emphasized that the course aims to raise the profile of coaches while enhancing their knowledge and competency levels.

“This course will raise the profile of coaches and enhance the knowledge and competency level of all the coaches,” he said.

“It’s a course where we focus on six competencies starting from football, leadership, game understanding, player development, coaching process, and closing with the development of a personal football philosophy,” he explained.

“A course in which we look to provide experiences for the coaches to grow but also to challenge them to be better adapted to the new experiences they may have in the future,”said Dutt.

The Part Two session follows the completion of the B-licence Part One, held in December 2023 at the Suva Academy. The current program is being conducted by Dutt and Fiji National Football Team Head Coach Rob Sherman.
