INTER MILAN will send Alexis Sanchez back to Manchester United at the end of the season, according to reports.
After failing to live up to expectations at Old Trafford, the striker joined the Italian giants on loan in the summer.
But according to Calciomercato, Inter Milan do not want to sign the 31-year-old on a permanent deal this summer.
It has been reported that he would have to halve his current £400,000-per-week wages to appeal to Inter.
Instead of splashing the cash on Sanchez, the Italian giants are set to put their funds towards two new strikers.
The source states that the club are on the lookout for a back-up option to former Manchester United man Romelu Lukaku.
And Antonio Conte wants to add another speedy striker to his squad before the start of next season.
Sanchez has scored just one goal in 15 appearances across all competitions for the Serie A side this term.
At the start of the month it was revealed that he had cost Inter Milan a whopping £22,000 for every minute he has played.
And he endured a stint on the sidelines after he suffered a serious ankle injury while on international duty in October.
Despite his poor spell of form, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is adamant that Sanchez will be back to his best when he returns.
Speaking at the start of the year, the Red Devils boss said: “Alexis will come back in the summer and will prove you all wrong.”
